We also accept checks made payable to Starry Night. We're sorry, at this time we do not accept COD orders. Billing Address and Delays in Shipping We will verify that the name and billing address on your order matches the name and address on the credit card account you've provided for payment of your order. If they do not match, your order will be delayed so that we may contact you to receive the correct information. We may also contact you to verify your approval of a shipping address that is different than the billing address. Order Confirmation You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your order when it is processed and another confirmation when it is shipped (including the tracking number). Street address for shipping We require a street address for product delivery. Sorry, we cannot ship to a Post Office Box address. Backorders and expected shipping dates When an item is out of stock we will email you with the expected shipping date. Because we have same-day shipping, there's a chance your order may have already gone out. We'll do our best to intercept your order and make the requested changes. If an item I ordered is not in stock, when will my credit card be charged for it? Your credit card will not be charged until the item is shipped. Do you charge sales tax? Yes, we charge sales tax on orders delivered to California addresses only. We are required by law to collect sales tax on merchandise and on our shipping and handling charge. How do I check on the status of my order? Shipping & Handling Charges Products in stock ordered by noon Pacific Time will ship the same day. Backordered products typically ship within 30 days. Shipping and handling charges on your order will be calculated as follows:
When will my order ship? Orders received by noon Pacific Time for items that are in-stock ship out the same business day. Orders received after noon will ship the next business day. When an item is not in stock we ship it as soon as it is available. If I order two or more items and one is out of stock, will you wait and ship the entire order together when all items are available, or do you ship the in-stock items first and the back-ordered item later? The in-stock items will ship first, and any backordered items will follow as soon as they are available. Can I track my order during shipment? Depending on the shipping method you select, your order may take anywhere from 48 hours to 9 business days to arrive, barring delays at customs. Approximate transit times for standard delivery are 5-6 business days to the east coast, 4-5 business days to the mid-west and 3 business days or less to the west. I received the wrong item. What should I do? In the unlikely event that this happens, please call us at 800-252-5417 Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time or email orders@StarryNightOrders.com. We'll arrange for the return of the incorrect item (at no charge to you) and see that you get the correct item promptly. I only received part of my order today. Where's the rest of it? Your order may have shipped in more than one box. Please allow several days for all the merchandise to arrive in case the boxes were separated along the way. If an item was out of stock and has been backordered, this will be indicated on the shipping invoice. My address has, is or will be changed. Can I just give you my new address? Returns Merchandise may be returned within 30 days of receipt for a full refund (less shipping & handling). If you'd like to apply your return credit to a new order, we'd be happy to do that. Please include this information with your return. If you prefer not to wait, please place your order online today and we will issue a credit to your credit card for the returned merchandise amount upon receipt and processing on your return. Merchandise must be returned in its original packaging and should include the original packing slip, all supplied materials, instructions, warranty cards, original accessories, hardware and any software provided. Please include your return address, day-time phone number and e-mail address. Securely package the merchandise and insure it for the full retail value. We are not responsible for lost packages; please ensure that you receive a tracking number for your return shipment. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. For packages being returned from outside the U.S., the item description in your customs documentation must clearly indicate American merchandise, returned for refund. Please list the country of origin as U.S.A. If this description is omitted, any brokerage and import levies incurred will be deducted from your refund. Returns should be sent to: Starry Night Software Products ordered from a retail outlet or online store other than Starry Night must be returned to the original place of purchase. Please note that refunds will be processed via the original payment method. As we do not store your credit information for more than 30 days from your date of purchase, we may need to contact you for additional information in order to process your refund. Shipping and Return Restrictions Only Starry Night Software and DVDs may be shipped outside the US and Canada. These products include: Starry Night Stars & Planets Screensaver, Starry Night Constellation Adventure, Starry Night Complete Space & Astronomy Pack, Starry Night Enthusiast, Starry Night Pro, Starry Night Pro Plus, Starry Night AstroPhoto Suite, Starry Night BlueStar Telescope Adapter, Starry Night Upgrade Packs, Atlas of the Sky, Eyes on Mars, Wheels on Mars, and Starry Night 4-DVD Gift Set. All other software or merchandise is restricted to delivery within the US and Canada. Starry Night Digital Download Core Application and its modules are non-refundable. MaxIm DL / CCD Version 4, MaxDSLR and MaxIm DL Lite are non-refundable after the permanent license is issued.
